For me, it’s “You’re still a good person, even if people don’t like you.”
.
I grew up terrified of being bullied, ostracized or left out. And when these things inevitably DID happen (because bullying happens to most children) those interactions nearly destroyed me.
I believed if someone didn’t like me, it meant I was ugly, bad, unlovable, or uncool. And all my self confidence and would go out the window if I didn’t measure up to someone else’s standards. It’s heartbreaking to know children can feel this way.

Over the years I‘ve worked hard to get to a place where other people’s views don’t dictate my worth, but I would have given anything to hear this advice as a child. I know it isn’t easy, but I believe in giving kids life skills that prepare them for a world that isn’t always friendly. This includes teaching them self love ❤️

To all my new followers, thank you for joining me in my little corner of the internet! I can’t believe how much this space has grown!
My work both on and offline is dedicated to giving parents, teachers and caregivers the tools they need to raise confident kids who love their bodies and themselves!

Why do I do this work?
We are currently living in an epidemic of self hate. Eating disorders are on the rise, and diet culture (the idea that thinness = health and people are only valuable if they're thin or actively losing weight) has dug its claws into every aspect of our society. We now have children as young as 5 reporting that they would rather lose a parent than get fat. Something needs to change, and it needs to change now.

Why do I love working with adults?
Being an eating disorder survivor, I believe that prevention through education and compassion for ourselves and others, is absolutely critical in raising body confident kids. I want parents to become the protectors they desperately needed when they were young, and the disruptors their children desperately need today! I believe adults have the power to create lasting change and lead by example. I’m here to help you get started ❤️

I believe that every single one of us is a victim of diet culture, and we're all doing the best we can with the tools we've been given. I’m here because I want your children to know they’re worthy and good enough just as they are. And that belief starts with you!
I’m here because I don't want another child to go through what I did when I was young, and I know that if we work together, we CAN make that a reality.
I'm so happy you're here. Welcome to my space!
